2013年由美國ArtRobbins儀器公司隆重推出的通用型高精度液體處理工作站(蛋白質結晶試劑全自動配混液工作站)，一經推出受到國際業(yè)內人士的關注!智能分配排序配合高速移動3D機械臂，保證了操作時間最短化。本設備速度足夠快，能夠在15分鐘內完成96個條件的配置，在結晶過程中，9分鐘以內使用6種或更多試劑配置24種溶液通常能獲得最佳的效果Scorpion還可以通過-一個簡單的步驟分配定量蛋白與池液并進行混合，重新分配液體。Scorpion巨大的數據庫包含了目前所有試劑廠商的組分試劑，而選購15mL容量的試劑時可以節(jié)省大量的費用，對應的試劑分裝工作可以通過Scorpion輕易完成。通過Scorpion強大的軟件功能，可以配置出標準的階梯濃度組分鹽溶液，輕松完成多結晶板.上不同PH值，不同濃度和不同種類液體的配置。

The Scorpion's large data base of screening reagents contains all of the commonly used commercial screens.Significant cost savings (roughly 50%) can be realizedby purchasing screen kits in 15 mL tubes and putting the versatility of the Scorpion to work.

Simple 4 corner grids as well as complex n-dimensional grids with multiple reagents can easily be designed and set up using the Scorpion Screen Builder software. The Scorpion's unique open deck format allows users to quickly and efficiently set up protein crystallization optimi- zation blocks. Although the machine is fast enough to set up simple 96 way grids in about 15 minutes, it serves the Crystallography community better by setting up complex 24 way optimization screens often with 6 or more reagents in under 9 minutes. The Scorpion can also be used to set the protein and reservoir drops together completing both the grid build step and the tray setup in one easy process.
